RR Challenge

Hi gals. I am so excited because a group of my dear friends have gotten together to create a monthly challenge group. We are named Rocio's Rockets and we have a monthly challenge that is posted by one of our group members. For the month of October, Rocio posted an awesome and very challenging assignment. We were to choose any three patterned papers and we were to create and create and create until there was not a scrap of the three papers left! We could use all the cardstock and embellishments that we wanted. We just needed to use every last scrap of paper. It sounds kind of easy, but once you get down to the nitty gritty- whew, it's tough.
So I debated as to what I wanted to make. We can make anything-layouts, projects, cards- so I figured that I would kind of cheat- shhhh, don't tell anyone! I figured that I will be needing some holiday decorations and some Christmas cards, so I made a couple of banners and a bunch of cards. I used 3 papers by Basic Grey from their Figgy Pudding line. The best part- Basic Grey's Christmas papers are always double sided. Boy, did I have options and I truly loved it! Thanks Rocio!

Robots Unplugged

I had so much fun playing with Robots Unplugged by My Little Shoebox this month. This paper has the cool oversized images that you can cut out and the colors are fabulous- very neutral.
This first layout is of my dh. I cut out the scalloped outer edge of the scalloped paper by MLS and pleated it. It made a very cool frame for my photo.

This is my sweet son. Even if robots aren't your thing, this paper line will still appeal to you. The back sides are great for birthdays, boys pages, even Fourth of July.

I really like using a full sheet of transparent overlays on a page like this. I used it to connect two pieces of paper to create a 12x12 layout. It's a great way to add variety to your pages and who doesn't love transparencies.

Thanks for checking this out. Next week I'll have some fun stuff to post from a challenge group that I belong to.
