Here is the last My Little Shoebox layout for this month. This is my mom and sister at Christmas. I love the neutral colors in the All a Flutter line. They work with everything!

Sakura of America was very generous with the MLS team and donated glaze pens to the team. I love the glaze pens! Have you used them? They take a minute or so to dry, but when they dry,
they leave this wonderful raised texture. It's a little hard to see, but it leaves this glossy, almost epoxy looking finish that is appealing. Check out Sakura ( www.sakuraofamerica.com) -they have the pens pens. The quality is fantastic and they have great flow, which is so important. This is one of my paper folds that I love to use. It's a box pleat that just reminds me of lace and trims- which I love! You can see the texture a little better on this butterfly. So pretty!!

Lastly, I made this cute little card with the large image from the All A Flutter paper. I used some wire and rolled it to form the antennae for the butterfly.

Thanks for checking out my blog. There are a ton of really great ideas on the MLS blog as well. It's at www.mylittleshoebox.typepad.com.

Butterfly wishes

I so love the All a Flutter line by MLS. I have had so much fun with it! This is a picture of me, on a lazy Sunday, reading (which happens to be one of my favorite things to do-besides scrapping of course). I could just squirrel my way into a cozy nook, have some tea (hot or cold- doesn't matter), wrap myself up in a blanket, and block out the entire world-literally.

I cut out the transparent butterfly overlays and folded the wings up. Then I use glue dots down the center of the body. This is a great way to get some movement and dimesion on your page- with virtually no bulk.

I made this flower with muslin (you know the stuff that you buy at your local fabric store for a couple of bucks) and sprayed it with Glimmer Mist (Mimosa and Lemon Meringue).

See you later in the week- I have a few more goodies for you!!

Happy Friday

Life is Good, wouldn't you say? The weather is beautiful here in the Bay Area (we're expecting 77 degree temperature today!), I'm wearing flip flops and capris, it's finally Friday and I was able to play with the new All A Flutter line by MLS (which is the best part!). I love browns and pinks and greens, ok, you get the picture.
Here is my lovely daughter. I am so proud to have such a smart and talented sweetie of a daughter! I made some cute MLS paper flowers and folded the border strips to look like ribbon (it makes me think of ribbon candy).

I also love how the flower overlays look on the right of my title. I find that if I use dimensional clear adhesive dots, the overlays really stand out!
Ok ladies, off to enjoy this beautiful weather. I'll have some more goodies for you real soon. Have a great weekend :D
