Advent Calender

Hi there. Now that Halloween is over and Thanksgiving is just right around the corner, it's that time to start prepping for the holidays. Silhouette is offering a great deal on their advent calender to get you started. I had the pleasure of decorating one of these Advent Calender's using My Little Shoebox's newest release- Winter Wonderland. I love all of the pinks and blues in this collection and had so much fun making this! This collection has just started shipping and will be in your lss soon :D

So, all of my friends know that I am a bit computer challenged, but I have to say that the Silhouette Cameo is so user friendly, that creating these cute little drawers and boxes was a total breeze!

I just had to create a little winter scene on the top of the box. I needed a place to add extra glitter and iridescent Mica flakes! Here is my little snowman that I made using 2 muslin circles, a toothpick, copic markers and a gel pen. He's so cute!

So head on over to Silhouette and enter the code SHOEBOX to get $10 off of the Advent Calender box (that's only $29.99!). So hurry, this special ends November 11th.
Check out the MLS blog for more pictures of this box.
Thanks for stopping by!

MLS and Unity Hip Hop Blog Hop

Hey everyone. Thank you for stopping by to see the card that I made using My Little Shoebox's Enchanted Garden paper line and the matching Unity Stamp! If you are arriving from

Jen Buck's blog, then you are hip hopping along just fine :D Isn't she awesome!

I used the tag/frame stamp and one of the flowers. I colored it using Copic markers and then cut it out and mounted it with foam squares. I used Ranger's perfect pearls to accent the frame. It gives the tag just that little extra something.

Next, you're off to visit Jimmi Mayo's blog. Are you in for a treat!

Please make sure to leave a comment along the way. At the end, we will have an awesome prize for you! And I will be handing out a prize as well! I will be picking a winner Monday, October 31st for a full line of your choice!

Thanks for stopping and make sure to visit Monday for the winner. Have a great week!

Hi everyone. Posting a couple of pictures of a topiary that I made using the Enchanted Garden line by My Little Shoebox. I used th e3D Roll up flower die-cuts. They are so easy to use- especially with a quiliing tool or Imaginisce's flower rolling tool.

Here's a close-up. I added pearls for the centers and Platinum Stickles to accentuate the edges. Gotta love glitter!

Thanks for stopping by :D

Hi there. Hope everyone is doing well. The kids are settled back in school, first progress reports received (all A's and B's- yahoo) and our first few days of rain after days of blistering heat are upon us here in the Bay Area. Just wanted to share a card and a layout that I created using the Audrey line from My Little Shoebox. Love the silhouettes and love the color palette of this paper line.
Here's a simple little "Happy Birthday" card that I created.

Here is a layout that I created. It's from my sister's and brother in law's wedding. I can't believe that it's been 13 years (Sept. 29th) already.

Thanks for stopping by. See you soon :D

Punky Sprouts Mini Album

Hi everyone. Hope your September is going well. I can't believe that the kids have been back to school for a couple of weeks now and we are finally settling back into our routines, well except for the alarm buzzing away at me at 6 every morning- uggg! Why can't school start later in the day :D

on to scrappy stuff, here is a Punky Sprout album that I created for My Little Shoebox. Check out the blog and you'll get to see what some of the other girls created- you will be amazed by their crafty ways!

I used the Audrey line. The colors are amazing! This album is a gate fold album, but I mixed up the pieces and used it in a more traditional format. I used one of the acrylic pages to create a window in the cover as well.

This album was created for my mom in memory of her Pomeranian Sweetpea. She passed away very unexpectedly just a bit before I created this and thought that she might enjoy something to stores her memories in.

The Audrey line is a really girlie line and loves to be adorned with lace, pearls and ribbons.

I love and miss you Sweetpea.

Thanks for stopping by . Have a great week!

Trick or Treat Blog Hop

Hi there! I'm so excited to share some items that I created for My little Shoebox's blog hop featuring the new Trick or Treat line!
We have lots of tricks and treats for you along the way, so please make sure to hit all of the blogs (starting with MLS's- I linked it above).

Hopefully you arrived from Mandy's blog. Isn't she awesome!! I've created some treat "boxes" using the Trick or Treat line.

Here is my Tootsie Roll Spider- Spooky! My daughter Victoria was so sweet and said to me,"Mom, you have to make a spider candy bag!" Thank yo Victoria for your super cute idea

I have a "Trick" for you. This is a great way for Room mom's to create a quick treat bag for all of your Halloween parties. This is a simple 4x12 piece of paper (MLS Trick or Treat- Monster Crossing), scored at 4", 5 1/2", 9 1/2", and 10 1/4". Fold on the scored lines (you'll have a flap that's 1 3/4". I found this to be too long, so I cut the excess with my pinking shears to make the edge extra spooky!). Cut out a 2 1/2" square window from the first 4" panel with a craft knife. Fill a Wilton goodie bag with sweet treats, staple it onto the back panel (Tim Holtz's Tiny Attacher), punch 2 holes into the 1 3/4" flap and the window flap. Thread ribbon(Creative Impressions) through and tie into a bow. Make a small tag (MLS- Trick or Treat- Scaredy Cat), use mini letters (MLS- linen Mini letters) for your message
and tie onto the bow with twine (Creative Impressions). Then I used an EK Success Jack-o-lantern border punch on a 4x1 strip of Scaredy cat paper, adhere to the front. Roll up some MLS 3-D Roll up Flowers diecuts and Glue to the front of the goodie bag (all adhesive from Therm o Web- red liner tape, sticky dot runner, 3-D Zots and Medium Zots)

I wrapped a candy bar with paper and used MLS's Cardstock Stickers to create a label

And lastly, I created a Treat bag filled with gumballs (or any candy of choice). This would also make for a super fast treat bag for any of the goblins that come knocking at your door.

Please don't forget to leave a comment! Ok, now off to the fantastic Treat that Linda has to share with you! Her project is amazing!

Don't forget to collect all of the letters along the way! Mine is the letter "Y". Good luck! and thanks for hopping by :D

Trick or Treat

Hi everyone. It's been a while since I've posted anything. I feel like I haven't have a spare moment since the start of July. First, we had to get all prepared for CHA- which means lots of creating, lots of packing, and lots of prepping for My Little Shoebox's workshop and make and takes. We had a great time in Chicago (well, Rosemont to be exact) and had so much fun during the show. It's always so nice to see friendly faces when you're far from home.

On August 3rd (I know, I'm a little late), Rod and I celebrated our 20th Anniversary. I can't believe that it has been that long- where did the time go? Love you Rod and I can't wait for the next 20 :D

Here is one of the projects that I created for CHA. It's from My Little Shoebox's Trick or Treat line. I so love Halloween (second favorite holiday right after Christmas) and can't wait until fall. The crisp air, the way leaves change to a rich hue of red or orange, warm sweaters, baking pies and caramel apples- ok, sorry, I am so off track. I altered a jewelry holder to hold these cute little cards. I layered the papers with vintage images, used the new Cottage Cutz dies that match My little Shoebox's new lines and just had fun digging through some of my old and new treasures.

Here's a close up of the top portion. I love the banner die cuts from MLS's new 3-D roll up flower die cut sheets. So cute!!

And here a better look at the bottom portion. I've had a small box of those pumpkin jingle bells for what seems like forever!
So happy to finally have the perfect project to use it on.

Thanks so much for stopping by :D Have a great week!

Heartfelt

Here's some Heartfelt creations that I made for this month. This is my hubby and me! I just love the pink and blue combo- so soft and sweet! Of course, I used Prima bling and flowers. This line just begs for sparkle!

I made this mini album of my family. It's been a struggle for me to get pictures of my kids. They're teenagers now (boo!) and just don't want photos taken of them. Well, I guess I can understand. What kind of a weird mom wants to remember the teenage years right? Lol!
All kidding aside, they really are great kids and I'm so blessed to have them!

Thanks for stopping by =D

My Little Shoebox Blog Hop!

Good morning! Thanks for joining My Little Shoebox's blog hop. If you started here, please start at My Little Shoebox's blog .

If you came from Linda's blog, you're right on track. Did you see that canvas- oh my gosh, it's gorgeous!!

This month's blog hop is focusing on mixing up the different lines.

Can you guess how many lines I used?

I made this sweet little wall hanging. I had so much fun making this! Everything except the birds, "nest filling" and tulle are My Little Shoebox's products-oooo, I forgot the glitter (can't forget the glitter!)

Here's a close-up of the flowers and birds. Love the sparkle!

I absolutely love theses flowers and am addicted to making these! Thank you Kris for the awesome tutorial!

Hop on over to Nicole's blog for some inspirations.

Wait until you see her beautiful layout. It reminds me of paper dolls!

Please remember to leave a comment on all of the blogs for a chance to win a MLS prize.

I'm also giving away a prize. All you need to do is become a follower of mine and guess how many lines I used in my wall hanging. I'll announce a random winner on Monday!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

More Home Tweet Home Cards

Hey there. I can't believe that we are already June 1st. Where has the year gone? The kids will out for summer break in a little over a week and before we know it, back to school shopping will be upon us. Yikes- lol.

So, I was a little busy creating some cards with My Little Shoebox's Home Tweet Home line. I had so much fun creating these fun cards. I think this one is my favorite. I love the cloud paper and had so much fun making this little birdhouse with the papers. I also used Glue Arts adhesives and their great dimensional foam adhesive! Check out their website for some inspiration.

This card is just sweet and heartwarming. I cut out the heart from my favorite cloud paper. The ribbon is from Creative Impressions ( if you've never used their ribbon, run out and get some quick- lol. Their ribbon is simply the best for bow tying!)

I love this card! Even though all of the cards are from the same paper line, they all look a little different. I used one of the die cuts, cut it in half and formed a cone to fill with flowers cut from one of the papers.

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping!

Heartfelt Blog Hop

Hi there. Welcome to My Little Shoebox's blog Hop featuring Heartfelt and an awesome sketch created by our own Melinda Spinks. Heartfelt is My Little Shoebox's newest release that has just hit the stores. If you started here, please hop over to My Little Shoebox and get started over there.
If you just came from Norine's blog , then you are right on track. Isn't she amazing! Love her take on the sketch!

This is the lovely sketch that Melinda created. It has just the right feel for the Heartfelt line!

This is the layout that I created. I changed my photos to black and white. I felt it worked better not having all of the color interfere with the soft colors of the Heartfelt line.

Please leave a comment and become a follower of mine =D. Then hop on over to the ever talented Pearl's blog . We would love to see your take on this layout as well! All of the info is at the My Little Shoebox blog. And of course, there is a prize to be won.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend =D

Home Tweet Home

Hi everyone. Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day! I know I did. This month for My Little Shoebox I created 6 cards using the Home Tweet Home line. I had a ton of fun trying to create 6 cards that were unique.

This first card is just a sweet card for back to school time. I love it because it so doesn't look like Home Tweet Home at all. I also used Glue Arts Glue Glider Pro and their U-Cut It Foam adhesive. What a cool concept- cut your foam adhesive to whatever shape you might need!

This card is just a sweet card to send to a friend- let them know how much you care! I used liquid pearls to create some dimension on the cloud cardstock sticker.

So check out Glue Arts website . You can check out all of their awesome products or click onto their blog and get inspired.

Check back for the rest of my cards in the upcoming days. Thanks for stopping by.

Heartfelt Sneak Peek

Happy belated Mother's Day. Hope you had a peaceful, relaxing day. I have a "simple" request for both Mother's Day and my birthday: no cooking, no cleaning, no laundry and no bickering (why is this one so difficult to have? Shouldn't teenagers behave like angels? hee hee)

Have you seen the new Heartfelt collection by My Little Shoebox? It's our newest release and we are very excited about it!

Here's a little sneak peek of a layout I created with it.

Pagemaps

Hi there. Are you ever in need of inspiration? I know that I definitely get in a slump and have no mojo. So what's a scrapper to do? Why, go to Pagemaps.
Each and every month, you will find new and exciting sketches for not just layouts, but cards as well.

I had the honor of creating for Pagemaps for the month of April. This is the sketch that I was given. I have to say, I have been a 12x12 scrapper for years, but the 81/2 x 11 size has really grown on me!

I created this layout of my dear little Pumpkin using Prima's new line Madeline. I absolutely love Prima and all of their pretties and frillies.

Thanks for checking. Have a great week =D

My Little Shoebox Farewell Blog Hop

Good morning. We are having a farewell blog hop here at My Little Shoebox. Did you happen to start here? Ok, no problem, just hop on over to MLS blog and you can get started.

If you've hopped over from the ever talented Nicole, then you are right on track :D

We have had such an amazing team of talented women, creating the most beautiful, innovative, and inspiring layouts, cards and project for My Little Shoebox. I just want to thank everyone on the team, for being so wonderful in every way, and for inspiring me! Here is a layout that I created using the Oasis line.

This is my husband and I. We don't take many photos together, I'm usually the one taking all of the pictures, but I was able to get my daughter to take this photo of us.

I loved building the cherry blossom branch. I used one of the B sides of the Oasis line and free hand cut out a branch, cut out a bunch of flowers and built my little branch. This year will be our 20th Anniversary, so I placed 20 blossoms on the branch, one for every year of marriage.

Ok, so now that I've gotten all mushy about things, hop on over to the fabulous

Rocio

and be prepared to be inspired!! Please remember to leave a comment here- that is if you would like to win an assortment of mini letters (I'll announce the winner on Wednesday, March 30th). And please leave a comment on all of the girls blog- MLS is having a fabulous prize for some lucky chickadee!

My Little Shoebox Sketch Challenge

Here at My Little Shoebox we are having a Sketch Challenge.
This wonderful sketch is the creation of the ever talented Aphra Bolyer
I love working with a sketch- all of the hard work is done for you (who likes to think during fun time? LOL) and I get to plug in my own fun goodies.

Here's a peek-a-boo of my layout.

As you know, this wouldn't be a MLS challenge without a prize right? You have until April 10th to create. All of the details are here at the blog. Have fun and good luck!
