Butterfly Tutorial

Hi everyone!!  I have a  tutorial on how to create your own paper butterfly like the ones I made for my wedding topiary centerpiece the other day.  It's really simple and uses a 3x4 piece of paper- that's it- just your fingers and a 3x4 piece of double sided paper.
Supply list:
3x4 piece of Bella! My Romance Paper

So here is the butterfly all finished.  Let's get started

1.  Cut a 3x4 piece of paper.

2. Fold the paper in half.

3. Fold the paper in half again.

4.  Open the folded piece of paper.  You will press this crease to create a triangle.

5.  you can see this step a bit more clear in this photo.

6.  press the creases well with your fingers.

7.  repeat this step on the other side.

8.  fold in the inner corner slightly.

9.  repeat on the other side.

10.  lift the front flaps slightly

11.  Fold the flap up and press with your finger.

12.  Repeat this step on the other side.  Your butterfly is upside down, turn it 180 degrees.

13.  You now have a finished paper butterfly!!

Wedding centerpiece featuring My Romance

Hi everyone!!  I have a cute little centerpiece or table decoration that would be perfect for a wedding celebration to share with you today!
I made a floral topiary that sits in a crystal dish.

This is a fun and pretty simple decoration to do.  I used 2 coordinating sheets of paper from the Bella! My Romance and punch a bunch of hydrangea flowers.  I stacked 2 flowers and used a stick pin through the center to attach the flowers to a styrofoam ball.

I used the Bella! Foiled project cards and Die Cut Pack to create this sweet tag for the centerpiece.

Here's a close-up of the flowers.

And don't forget the paper butterflies that sweetly top the topiary.  There will be a tutorial on how to fold these butterflies in just a couple of days.  Make sure to check  back to see how easy it is to create your own paper butterflies!

Summer Journal featuring Heritage Paperz by Ruby Rock-It

Hi everyone!!  I have a little project to help keep track of your summer memories.  There is only a couple of weeks until summer break is over for my kids and I find that if I don't take the time to write down those precious moments with them, I don't always remember the details.  So I decorated a journal and I made a book mark for my books.
I used the beautiful Heritage Paperz from Ruby Rock-It and the Decoupage packs.  I have said it before, but I love the decoupage packs!!  If you love vintage inspired anything, these packages of 3D do-it-yourself embellishments is right up your alley.

Here's a close-up of the cover.
I also attached one of the Heritage 3D stickers onto a length of lace as a bookmark in the notebook.
